Now it's go time!" Sometimes all you need is to take things to action instead of overthinking it. Lucky are those who have friends in or near a ski town. So at this point a huge THANK YOU goes out to my buddy Flo. Without you I'd have even less possibilities to Ski!
So friday after work we threw out shit in the car and started heading south in the direction of Oberstdorf, Germany. We had the skibags packed and ready to go since early September anyway. We spent 2 very nice "getting back into business" kind of days at Kanzelwand/Fellhorn Ski Resort with a high after ski beer rate and a lot of good hangs with the local crew and some familiar faces that youi get to meet there every year as soon as the canvas turns white. Saturday the weather was a little "mixed" with bad visibility and also some storm kicked in which caused a lot of blowoff and increased avy danger and also let the sharks out. So we took it easy because no one needs a shredded Ski or even worse knee during the first days of the season. Sunday was a perfect bluebird powder day. With a good vision and even better mood it was easy to hike around, find good spots to ski down without entering dangerous zones and we even took some pictures of the recently built DIY bamboo poles. Turned out the work great and seem to be stable enough to get my 90+ kilos ass through the snow =D
